I conducted structural analysis and probes of historic elements to guide a safe restoration strategy. Conceptual design balanced new construction with historic fabric, while phased submissions ensured regulatory compliance. Iterations refined structural systems and façade restoration techniques to preserve integrity during construction.

Solution
The design integrated a new building behind the restored historic façade, combining modern performance with historic character. Features included innovative structural support, plaster restoration, and façade raising techniques that respected the theater’s heritage while enabling new use.

Impact
The project received preliminary approval for its schematic design and was praised for its sensitivity to history. It enhanced property value, attracted tenant interest, and highlighted the importance of meticulous planning in adaptive reuse projects.
