Scene Stealer

Overview

Scene Stealer is an innovative app designed to allow viewers to purchase items featured on production sets of movies, TV shows, and mini-series. As the Lead Product Designer, I led the creation of the app’s design, user experience, and pitch deck, focusing on bridging the gap between on-screen inspiration and consumer acquisition.

Problem
Statement

The challenge was designing a seamless, visually engaging app that served both entertainment enthusiasts and retail partners. Balancing scalability across diverse content types and ensuring smooth integration with multiple stakeholders added complexity to the task.

Process

I conducted user research through surveys and interviews to uncover how audiences interacted with on-screen products and identified gaps in purchase pathways. Competitive analysis confirmed a market opportunity for a streamlined solution. From there, I developed prototypes and tested them with users, focusing on intuitive navigation and efficient purchasing flows. Iterations refined the balance between retail functionality and the immersive entertainment experience.

Solution

The app featured a sleek, modern interface that allowed users to browse and purchase items directly from scenes. Key features included in-app browsing, retail integrations, and interactive elements to highlight products. A companion pitch deck showcased the concept’s unique value to investors and partners, combining visual storytelling with clear data. The design prioritized high-quality imagery and straightforward interactions to engage both users and stakeholders.

Results &
Impact

Scene Stealer received positive reception from early users and drew interest from retail partners and investors. By transforming screen-time inspiration into a shopping experience, it positioned itself as a novel entrant in the entertainment-commerce space. The project underscored the importance of balancing visual engagement with functional clarity in digital product design.
